About Empire Painters Chicago
Empire Painters Chicago was founded by Jorge Díaz after more than two decades of experience in construction, remodeling and project management.
After managing construction and remodeling projects in Venezuela, Panama and now Chicago, Jorge created Empire Painters Chicago with one clear purpose: to bring a higher level of planning, organization, technical knowledge and quality control to residential painting.
For us, painting is not simply the final step of a project. It is a detailed process that requires preparation, product knowledge, surface evaluation, timing, protection, execution and final inspection.
That is the difference behind Empire Painters Chicago.
We do not treat painting as a simple task. We treat every project as a carefully planned job where your home, your investment and your peace of mind matter from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

Built on Experience, Planning and Quality
How Empire Painters Chicago Started
Empire Painters Chicago was born after more than 26 years of experience in construction, project management and remodeling.
During those years, we learned something important: painting is often underestimated.
Many people see painting as simply applying color to a wall. But behind a smooth, clean and durable finish, there is much more involved.
A successful painting project requires understanding the surface, choosing the right products, preparing the area correctly, managing temperature and humidity conditions, protecting the home, organizing materials, planning each stage and maintaining clear communication with the client.
That knowledge comes from years of real project experience.
Empire Painters Chicago was created to bring that level of professional planning and technical understanding into residential painting projects throughout Chicago.

Our Company
WHY WE CREATED THE COMPANY
Before becoming Empire Painters Chicago, the company operated under the name Empire Building Inc.
The original name reflected Jorge Díaz’s professional background as a Civil Engineer and his years of experience in construction, remodeling and project management.
Over time, the market naturally led the company toward residential painting, and Jorge discovered a strong passion for the level of detail, planning and craftsmanship that painting requires.
As painting became the company’s main focus, the decision was made to evolve the brand into Empire Painters Chicago, a name that better represents what we do today and the specialized service we provide to homeowners throughout Chicago.
A Different Kind of Painting Company in Chicago
After managing projects in different countries, we saw an opportunity to offer something different in the painting industry.
We wanted to build a company based on trust, organization, transparency and excellence.
From the first contact, our goal is for every client to understand that there is a real process behind the work. We do not improvise. We evaluate, plan, prepare, execute and inspect.
That is how we protect the quality of the final result.
At Empire Painters Chicago, every project matters. Whether it is one room, a full interior repaint, a cabinet painting project, drywall repair before painting or a complete residential painting job, we apply the same level of planning and attention to detail.
Professional attitude
Respect for the client’s home
Attention to detail
Commitment to quality
Every person who represents Empire Painters Chicago must understand that painting is not only about the final color. It is about the experience the client has during the entire process.
Great Painting Is More Than Just Paint
One of the biggest problems we noticed in the industry is that painting is often treated as a quick job instead of a professional process.
A wall that looks good at first may not last if the surface was not prepared properly. A paint product may not perform well if it was not selected for the right material. A project can become stressful when there is poor communication, no planning or no clear scope of work.
A high-quality painting project requires attention to many details, including:
- Surface condition
- Drywall repairs
- Cleaning and preparation
- Sanding and priming
- Paint product selection
- Material compatibility
- Temperature and humidity conditions
- Protection of floors, furniture and fixtures
- Jobsite organization
- Quality control
- Final inspection
These details are not always visible to the client, but they determine the quality, durability and appearance of the final result.
Empire Painters Chicago was created to bring all of this knowledge together and deliver a painting experience that goes far beyond simply painting a surface.
Our Mission
Our mission is to generate trust from the first contact.
We want our clients to feel comfortable opening the doors of their home to our team. We want them to know their investment is in good hands. We want them to understand what will be done, how it will be done and why each step matters.
At the end of every project, our goal is for the client to feel confident that choosing Empire Painters Chicago was the right decision.
We believe that a professional painting company should offer more than a finished wall. It should offer communication, planning, respect for the home, technical knowledge and a final result that makes the client feel satisfied.
We paint and stain siding, brick, wood, metal, fences, decks, garage areas and exterior doors. We also provide surface priming, spray painting, wood staining and preparation services for a stronger final result.
What Makes Empire Painters Chicago Different?
Our difference begins with preparation, values and experience.
We apply principles of engineering and project management to every painting job, regardless of size. For us, there are no small or unimportant projects. Every home deserves planning, preparation, organization and quality control.
We do not believe excellence depends on the size of the project. Excellence depends on how the project is executed.
Our Difference Includes:
- A Civil Engineering background
- 26 years of construction and project management experience
- A structured process for every project
- Detailed surface preparation
- Clear communication from start to finish
- Respect for your home and schedule
- Quality control during each stage
- Final walkthrough before project completion
- A professional approach to residential painting

Our Painting Process
1. First Conversation
Everything starts with a conversation. We listen to your needs, understand your goals and learn more about the project you have in mind.
2. Project Visit and Evaluation
Next, we evaluate the existing conditions. We review the surfaces, preparation needs, project size, access, timeline and any repairs or recommendations needed before painting.
3. Detailed Proposal
We prepare a clear proposal that explains the scope of work and the recommendations for your project. Our goal is for you to understand what we will do and why it matters.
4. Project Scheduling
Once the proposal is approved, we schedule the project and organize the next steps so the work can begin with clarity and structure.
5. Protection of Work Areas
Before painting, we carefully protect the areas around the project. This may include floors, furniture, fixtures, doors, windows or other surfaces that should not be affected.
6. Surface Preparation
Preparation is one of the most important parts of the job. Depending on the project, this may include cleaning, sanding, patching, drywall repair, wallpaper removal, popcorn ceiling removal, priming or other preparation steps.
7. Product Application
We apply the appropriate products following professional practices for the surface and project type. Our focus is smooth coverage, clean lines and a durable finish.
8. Quality Inspection
Before we finish, we inspect the work carefully and review the details to make sure the final result meets our standards.
9. Final Walkthrough
We complete a final walkthrough with the client to review the project together. Our work does not end when the painting is done. It ends when the client is satisfied with the result.
